  1. I’d be inclined to agree with you except that in my almost 40 years in the workforce, I have never…..I repeat NEVER been called to HR for anything good. The only time someone sees those people is when it’s bad. If I was the only person who thought that, I’d reconsider my thought process but every single person I come in contact with feels this way. When we have “events” that all corporate team members are invited to, people generally come and socialize and have a decent time together…….and then HR shows up and everyone scatters like cockroaches when the lights are turned on. If they stop making people disappear and stop pretending that they’re being nice to people just to get to know them when they’re secretly gathering dirt on them, it may start to go back the other direction. My company implemented a rewards system. It was all going well until HR decided to put in a reward for connecting with them on LinkedIn. Gee…..why would HR need to connect with its employees on LinkedIn?? Think about it.
