SilkRoad technology inc., a provider of talent management solutions, announced today that the company achieved record growth, revenue and customer acquisitions in 2006.
SilkRoad posted its seventh straight quarter of 100 percent or greater revenue growth over the prior year and expanded its global footprint with several new clients in the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The North Carolina-based company added 180 clients for its Life Suite of Web-based talent management solutions and completed 240 OpenHire, RedCarpet, WingSpan, GreenLight and Eprise product implementations in all.
WingSpan, SilkRoad’s performance management solution, represented the product with the highest year/year growth, with customers including First Interstate Bank, World Vision and Miller Legg.
WingSpan’s feature set includes unprecedented automation of annual appraisals and fully integrated career development and succession planning tools.
RedCarpet, SilkRoad’s employee onboarding solution, grew tremendously in its first full year of release as companies of all sizes sought to implement the industry’s only onboarding tool that fully addresses employee socialization in addition to handling onboarding basics such as new-hire form and task management.
Among the new RedCarpet implementations were Freescale Semiconductor Inc., MWH Global in its Asia Pacific region and Spectrum Brands.

The SilkRoad Life Suite comprises five discrete subscription-based applications that enable organizations to connect with their top talent and manage the entire employee life cycle through a series of customized Web-based interfaces.
The five Life Suite modules are
- OpenHire, a recruitment management system
- RedCarpet, an employee onboarding solution
- WingSpan, an employee performance management application
- GreenLight, a compensation tool
- Eprise, an employee intranet and content management system.
“Over the course of 2006, many of our existing single-product customers expanded their relationship with SilkRoad technology by adding one or more additional Life Suite solutions,” Platz said. “Among new customers, more than 25 percent implemented two or more Life Suite solutions.
“By consolidating multiple HR and talent functions within the Life Suite, these companies are placing themselves on the cutting edge of workforce management.”
