Chicago, June 2 — MediaTec Publishing Inc. has announced that nominations are open for the 2008 Chief Learning Officer Magazine Learning In Practice Awards. Award nominations are due July 15 and must be completed online at CLOmedia.com.
“The Learning In Practice Awards recognize the best and the brightest leaders in the corporate learning industry,” said Norm Kamikow, editor in chief of Chief Learning Officer magazine. “Our award categories are set up to align to the evolving challenges faced by learning executives, as well as to recognize some of the outstanding contributions the vendor community has made to the learning industry.”
The 2008 Learning In Practice Awards include the CLO of the Year, the industry’s top honor, along with a list of other categories, each of which will be broken down into two separate divisions based on organizational size. These categories include The Leadership Awards, The Vanguard Awards, The Innovation Awards, The Business Impact Awards, The Global Leaning Awards and The Learning Team Awards.
The Provider Awards will be presented to those who have demonstrated outstanding performance in the following newly extended categories: outsourcing, e-learning, LMS, simulations and games, social networks, content, customer service, academic partnerships and consulting.
The winners of the 2008 Learning In Practice Awards will be announced Sept. 25 during a special ceremony at the Fall 2008 Chief Learning Officer Magazine Symposium at the legendary Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, Calif.
