  1. Elliott, your article rang true for me, with similar reactions to people peddling new. I turn off the news now when I hear “Breaking” having learned it isn’t, really. I also turn off speakers, writers and supposed experts who have the “fresh new answer”. Reminds me of a book about the psychotherapy journey, “If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.” If someone claims to have “The” answer, run away. The Japanese concept of Kaizen would be a better learning approach, as evolutionary opportunity with some rare revelations. A speaker or writer who openly acknowledges and builds on prior ideas and work will have my attention, and might earn my respect.
