Ted Hoff (September 2009)
Then: Vice President of Learning and Chief Learning Officer, IBM
Now: Vice President of Human Resources for IBM’s sales division
After many years as vice president and chief learning officer at IBM, Ted Hoff moved into a generalist role as vice president of HR for the firm’s sales operation. Hoff said he’s leveraged numerous skills from his days as CLO to address some of the broader workforce issues IBM faces in its sales division.
Quote: “It was in many ways natural to come from the learning specialty — a specialty I love and have enormous pride in — to then being the HR generalist, because issues of skills and expertise are so essential to enabling us to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.”
