BlueVolt Learning Management System Goes Mobile

BlueVolt’s e-learning users can now access interactive courses, quizzes and videos from any mobile device without using Adobe Flash software.

Portland, Ore. — Nov. 2

BlueVolt, a provider of online learning management systems (LMS) for the manufacturing, construction and service industries, announced the release of its HTML5 mobile interface. BlueVolt’s e-learning users can now access interactive courses, quizzes and videos from any mobile device such as the iPad, iPhone and Android browsers without using Adobe Flash software.

In addition to supporting interactive content, the new mobile interface features simple-to-navigate enhanced functionality for mobile learners.

“People are increasingly on-the-go and our new technology allows learners to access online courses whenever and wherever is most convenient for them,” said Belinda Runkle, BlueVolt director of engineering.

The company says its new mobile interface also makes uploading video easier. BlueVolt’s LMS administrators can upload virtually any video format, which is automatically transcoded (using cloud-based technology) into multiple formats and viewable from any modern Web browser or mobile device.

Mobile-friendly, e-learning videos are also encoded in high-bandwidth and low-bandwidth modes, so users can choose the mode that best suits their viewing environment. And administrators can measure completion of videos, files and documents with seat-time tracking.
