Also, the way of learning and teaching are changing with virtual and direct class. In-fact some professional course providers like “Excelr” are creating education platform in both class and online.

  2. How I deliver has changed significantly over the last 18 years. First, it was a 2 Week ILT > then multiple 1 hour eLearning > then to a 1 hour vILT > now to many hours of blended learning (the curation of content into small micro-learning bursts (less than 1 minute) crafted together in a curriculum to deliver knowledge and then activity based content to practice the skills followed up with manager feedback sessions). This creates a more personalized learning environment for the learner. Knowledge is delivered on demand, activities create safe environment of practice, but the most important piece is the manager, learner, learning professional partnership to ensure that the new skills are used, measured, and reviewed to remove performance gap.

  4. L&D Professionals need to become more business and financially focused re end to end costs of designing, developing and delivering learning per hour per participant. In addition the ROI of “experience design ” and associated business case needs to be confidently positioned. Globally accredited MOOC’s provide exceptional value as does social and collaborative technologies which enable ” corporate citizen” delivery directly via micro learning from mobile phone or Blog , and variety of Apps enable this versus expensive LMS and hugely complex authoring systems. These become obsolete given half life of knowledge within average turnover period of staff of around 36 months!
