Rancho Mirage, Calif., Sept. 27, 2013 — Best-selling author Frans Johansson will kick off the Fall 2013 Chief Learning Officer Symposium on Monday with an opening keynote aimed at corporate educators looking to transform visionary workforce development into a strategic catalyst for growth.
An entrepreneur, innovation consultant and one of today’s most creative thinkers, Johansson will use insights from his latest book, “The Click Moment: Seizing Opportunity in an Unpredictable World,” to describe unexpected ways of unleashing learning’s strategic potential in an increasingly complex world. He will show the learning leaders in attendance how they can rethink their workforce development strategy by recognizing and seizing unplanned opportunities and using them as a springboard for pursuing higher performance.
Johansson’s remarks will set the tone for the Symposium’s executive-level agenda, developed by the editors of Chief Learning Officer magazine and based on the theme, “Vision to Action: Learning’s Strategic Force.” During the meeting, which runs Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa near Palm Springs, Calif., hundreds of chief learning officers, corporate executives, human capital management experts and learning practitioners from around the world will explore the most effective ways to bridge the gap between broad visions for enterprise education and effective day-to-day implementation.
