It’s frustrating enough when a job seeker goes through a lengthy interview process only to fall short of getting an offer. What’s even more frustrating, reports The Wall Street Journal this week, is when hiring managers and recruiters go mum on the reason a prospective candidate was not ultimately chosen. The reason stems from a company’s legal department, as any insight into why one candidate was chosen over another, if disclosed, could be grounds for a discrimination lawsuit.
