Telus Corp., a Canadian telecommunications firm, sought to augment its organizational model of interconnectivity and unity. Led by Dan Pontefract, its senior director and head of learning and collaboration, the company already had an abundant amount of formal learning opportunities for its team members. But Pontefract wanted to further develop Telus’ informal and social learning strategies.
Telus tapped EBSCO Publishing, which serves the library industry with business content. Business Source Corporate, EBSCO’s learning content hub for Telus, now helps the company’s team members quickly find searchable knowledge from sources typically not found on the Internet. It also has reduced the amount of time employees spend searching for information.
