Chicago, Aug. 27, 2012 — Hundreds of chief learning officers, corporate executives, human capital management experts and learning and development (L&D) professionals are gathering next month in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Fall 2012 CLO Symposium. The three-day meeting, hosted by Chief Learning Officer magazine, is widely recognized as the premier conference for practitioners of strategic workforce development and was named Best Leadership Development Event in 2011 by Leadership Excellence magazine.
A major reason for the event’s high profile and popularity is the strategic focus of the sessions included on the agenda. Each part of the program is designed to deliver keen insights and key information that L&D practitioners can use immediately to make employee education more effective within their organizations. For the fall meeting, the editors of Chief Learning Officer magazine have prepared a lineup of keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops and interactive strategy sessions that explore innovative techniques and technologies for building a long-term learning strategy that can take organizations to new heights.
“In times like these, when change is constant, developing a highly adaptable workforce is a critical part of constructing an organization that is built to last,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of the magazine’s publisher, MediaTec Publishing Inc. “At the Fall CLO Symposium, we will share the latest thinking on ways to make L&D a strategic enabler of sustainable high performance. Attendees should walk away with dozens of actionable ideas for delivering employee learning that directly impacts their enterprises’ ability to not only manage but also capitalize on change.”
During the Symposium, slated for Sept. 19-21 at The Broadmoor, attendees will focus on the theme “Learning That Lasts: Reaching New Levels of Performance.” The program features more than 50 speakers and presenters, including 2011 CLO of the Year Lisa Doyle, vice president of learning and development for Lowe’s Cos. Inc., and a wide range of workshops featuring “feet-on-the-ground” strategies, tactics and technologies from successful L&D practitioners.
Attendees at the Fall 2012 Symposium can earn HR Certification Institute continuing education credits, as well as points toward recertifying as Certified Performance Technologists.
