OutStart,a learning solutions provider, will present and participate in multiple sessions, as well as exhibit at eLearning Guild’s mLearnCon Mobile Learning Conference from June 21 to 23. OutStart sessions include:
mLearning for a Mobile Workforce, Use Cases and Secrets to Successful Deployments, Successful Strategies for Mobile Course Conversions: Lessons from the Field, and Hot Lava Mobile Build Once – Deploy Across Cell Phones, Smartphones & Tablets.
John Alonso, co-founder and CTO of OutStart, will present on building a mobile learning strategy and the critical areas of understanding that aid in its development. This session will begin by discussing what mobile learning is “not,” and participants will walk through a series of discussions about what an organization should consider when developing a mobile learning strategy.
Ed Spizzirri, senior systems engineer of OutStart, will present on use cases for mobile learning and discuss technological advancements that have eased the deployment of mobile learning. Attendees will learn how mobile learning offers powerful ways to augment, extend, and enhance formal learning initiatives, on-the-job learning, and priority communications, and how mobile learning is now part of a best practices blended learning environment.
Spizzirri will participate on the Advanced Distributed Learning panel. During this session, panelists will discuss the latest challenges and concerns pertaining to mobile learning course conversion. They’ll provide answers to such questions as: What types of training materials can you deliver on a mobile device? Should you deliver training materials on a mobile device, and if so, what device types, browsers, and platforms? What other approaches and enhancements are there for delivery of mobile learning? He will also be presenting two master classes on OutStart Hot Lava Mobile, named eLearning! Magazines ‘Best Mobile Learning Solution’ in each of the last two years. Spizzirri will cover the complete solution – from content development, secure deployment on any device, to analysis and tracking. He’ll demonstrate how Hot Lava Mobile allows users to easily provide mobile learning, performance support, and priority communications.
