This year marked the 16th anniversary of Chief Learning Officer’s Learning In Practice Awards, a recognition program to honor learning industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs through a combination of qualities such as leadership, vision, business acumen and strategic alignment.

Judges selected the nearly 70 winners from almost 200 submitted nominations. Practitioners received awards across eight categories in two divisions: Division 1 for companies with 10,000 employees or more and Division 2 for companies with less than 10,000 employees. Categories included Business Impact, Innovation and Technology, to name a few, as well as the industry’s top honor, CLO of the Year. Learning providers and vendor companies were also recognized for their excellence in seven categories, including academic partnerships, blended learning, e-learning and more.

The winners were honored at a special reception during the 2018 CLO Fall Symposium held September 30 – October 2 in Houston.
