SUMMARY:Leveraging Internal Executives and Peer Learning to Impact L&D Culture and Objectives Across the Globe
DESCRIPTION:Accessing third-party experts to help develop leaders across a global organization is certainly possible\, but is that the best option for the company and those leaders who need real world skills\, wisdom and insights as part of their development? Using talented internal trainers is an option as well\, but again is that the best option? Can you instead leverage an internal faculty of senior executives and combine that with a focus on virtual peer learning sessions as a strategy to supplement your traditional learning options? If the answer is yes (hint: it is)\, what are the benefits of these initiatives and how can you measure the cultural and practical impact.\nJoin Jay Rhodes\, senior director of global learning and development\, and Victoria James\, director of learning and development UK/IE and EMEA for BCD Travel\, as they share insights into the development\, implementation and measurement of leadership faculty and peer learning initiatives across a global organization.\nWalk away with practical suggestions on:\n•	How to impact the learning culture with nontraditional learning initiatives.\n•	Designing and implementing a formal leadership faculty program.\n•	How to utilize peer learning as a creative and effective solution to practical training and social learning needs.\n•	Using a simple impact assessment approach for measuring the success of current and new learning initiatives.

SUMMARY:The Leadership Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Who is tapped to lead next at your company? Are they interested in jumping on the leadership pipeline? What do they expect from leaders? They may define “leadership” differently than we’re used to seeing it. \n	Join us as we debrief our findings on our new study: The Leadership Challenge: How Different Generations See It. In this exhaustive study of more than 2000 workers spanning the range of generations\, we look at how views differ and what it will take to lead the next generations. \n	Specifically\, we’ll discuss our findings related to: \n	• How generational views of leadership vary\, including expectations of leaders and their ideas about the best ways to develop leaders. \n	• How interested employees\, by generation\, are in becoming leaders in their organizations\, and what does that entail? \n	• Are there important differences by generation or do other differences matter more\, like Career Stage\, Education Level\, Family Status. \n	We investigated all of these important questions and will share them during this webinar.

SUMMARY:Moving Beyond Employee Engagement: The Employee Experience Index
DESCRIPTION:Employee engagement is often viewed as the proxy for employee well-being. The line of thinking is that if engagement is good\, that means employees are good\, resulting in better business outcomes for employers. But\, is employee engagement the best construct that employers should use to positively impact productivity and performance? \nNew research suggests while engagement is important\, it’s only one piece of the broader picture—the entire employee experience. In reality\, people want to work for a company that enables them to bring their full selves to their job and helps them grow and thrive. Creating this kind of workplace goes beyond just ensuring that employees are engaged—discovering the ingredients that create the most positive employee experience\, then creating the conditions to cultivate them. When companies enhance the employee experience\, business benefits directly. \nJoin Chief Learning Officer magazine and BetterUp for a lively discussion where we’ll discuss: \n•	Key findings from our research of over 17\,000 workers\n•	What the Employee Experience Index (EX Index) is\, and why you’ll want to use it\n•	Why the EX Index will change how you think about traditional Learning & Development\n•	Strategies for optimizing 6 key experience areas for better business outcomes

SUMMARY:How do you Identify a Good Manager?
DESCRIPTION:We’ve all heard that “employees don’t quit jobs\, they quit their managers.” In fact\, a lot of us have probably done exactly that. There are plenty of opportunities out there\, especially for high performers\, so most people won’t stick it out with someone they don’t much care for. That begs the question: why do so many companies still have so many lousy managers? \nIt comes down to two important things: we don’t value the right traits when we look for managers and we don’t train our managers to cultivate those traits. In this webinar\, Mike Giordani\, Co-Founder of Lingo Live\, will highlight how to identify and foster managers that grow your company. You’ll learn: \n●	The three most important traits for a good manager\n●	How to identify the ideal internal candidates for management positions\n●	What the real cost of bad managers really is\n●	An\n●	And a whole lot more \nJoin us on July 30th for this free\, interactive webinar and unlock the potential of your management team!

SUMMARY:The Leadership Development Dilemma
DESCRIPTION:Despite enjoying one of the most highly-educated workforces in history\, today’s organizations are struggling with a common challenge: how do we develop the leaders of tomorrow? When only 14 percent of current CEOs believe they have the talent necessary to execute their business strategies\, it’s clear the problem is widespread. And this begs the obvious question: What does the leader of the future look like? And\, more pointedly\, why are organizations having such a difficult time developing them? \nJoin Chief Learning Officer and Damian Vaughn\, chief programs officer at BetterUp\, for a robust evidence-based discussion on the leadership development dilemma. We’ll explore the question of whether L&D as we know it is ill-equipped to develop leaders who can navigate these disruptive times. You’ll hear what new human skills are in hot demand and set to redefine the leader landscape. And we’ll also consider whether a fundamental shift in the way we think about learning and development itself is required to respond to both the current disruptive marketplace and the needs\, expectations\, and abilities of the modern employee. \nYou’ll come away from this webinar with a better understanding of:\n•	Why the disrupted workplace requires a fundamentally new type of leader\n•	What skills most leaders lack that are critical for navigating change\n•	Where most leadership programs fall short\, and exciting research-based alternatives\n•	Why tomorrow’s leaders must be developed\, not just trained—and what the difference is\n•	The benefits of coaching versus training\, and compelling results of recent research

SUMMARY:Supporting Employee Development Through Personalized Learning
DESCRIPTION:Employees are tired of the traditional one-size-fits-all learning experience. SUMMARY:Taking Flight: Progressive Leadership Development at the NBA
DESCRIPTION:Coming off of the highly successful launch of strategic leadership initiatives in 2015 and 2016\, the National Basketball Association’s learning and development team entered 2017 flying high and anticipating that the most rigorous design work was\, at least for a time\, behind them. Spoiler alert: It was not. While the more tactical\, day-to-day leadership development programming was not “broke\,” it became clear that the new standards of practice could no longer be met by undertaking a simple refresh. In other words: If it ain’t broke\, break it. By applying the lessons learned in the course of designing more advanced and targeted leadership offerings to ground-level transitional programs\, they were able to accelerate the development of a new suite of progressive leadership development products that supported the development of people managers companywide and yielded tangible gains in employee engagement across a wide range of manager-specific measures by mid-2018. In this session\, Mike Kennedy\, the NBA’s learning and development leader\, will discuss some of the team’s learnings\, such as:\n•	Culture trumps competencies: You cannot teach that which is not reinforced.\n•	Building one transitional leadership development at a time is a fool’s errand. Commit to concurrent development\, or don’t bother.\n•	Don’t assume that senior leaders are “above” discussing leadership basics. There is a significant body of leadership content that is level-agnostic — in many cases\, facilitation tactics should vary across levels\, but the subject matter itself should be relevant across seniority levels.

SUMMARY:How to Adopt a Servant Leadership Mindset at Your Organization
DESCRIPTION:In most organizations\, the leaders are the ones that hold the power. Their leadership style resembles one of a traditional hierarchy\, where the leaders sit on a pedestal while making commands\, have the control\, and demand certain outcomes from their employees. Adopting a servant leadership mindset will not only improve the leadership skills of the person who leads\, but the whole organization will flourish with improvements in common business challenges like employee engagement and retention.\nIn this webinar\, you’ll learn:\n–	The qualities of a servant leader\n–	How to transform command-control leadership into a serve-first mindset\n–	Why companies need more servant leaders

SUMMARY:How High Performing Employees Learn and why it Won’t Show up in ROI
DESCRIPTION:Time spent learning is a common metric for measuring knowledge gained and learning ROI. However\, this metric assumes learning and working are mutually exclusive\, and an employee cannot learn and produce at the same time. Yet\, in reality\, employees often learn in short bursts in concert with their workflows.\nIn this webcast\, you’ll learn about:\n•	Define and provide the science behind performance adjacent learning behavior\n•	Explore how performance adjacent learning tools enable this valuable way of learning\n•	Discuss ways to measure the efficacy of performance adjacent learning activity
