DESCRIPTION:This webinar will explore how we can unlock the incredible potential that digital learning promises\, but rarely seems to deliver. Many learning professionals concede that their businesses have an underperforming digital learning platform\, often more than one. This is often explained away: there is ‘too much content’\, or it’s ‘not relevant’ enough\, or it’s ‘too hard to find what you want’. All of those things might be true\, but what if there were a simpler explanation? That people learn with and from other people\, especially people they relate to or feel are on their side. Basic human sentiments that aren’t met by the feeling of simply being processed through ‘learning’? \nBut it doesn’t have to be that way. Learning is a perfect means to connect people\, and digital technology provides the perfect medium. We can run group workshops\, we can run simulations\, we can provide team coaching sessions\, we can choreograph on-the-job assignments. \nWe can use digital technology as a way of connecting managers to their team\, and teams to their managers. Adopting the adage that ‘teams that learn together\, perform together’ we can exploit digital’s extraordinary potential to run immersive simulations across national boundaries and time zones. \nWe can unlock the power of coaching. We can make coaching available to more people providing connection and support. As our businesses strain to meet the challenges that disruption\, diversity\, disengagement and digitalisation present\, connecting through learning was never more important.
